This is a one of a kind, beautifully carved amethyst head of a dog late Victorian 14Kt yellow gold stickpin. The three dimensional dog’s head was masterfully carved out of one piece of natural amethyst with great detail by a very talented artist.

A nicely-detailed late Victorian pin depicting a lion’s head. The open mouth grasps a 10-point old European-cut diamond, while each eye is set with a small cabochon ruby. The head is surrounded by flowing fur that hints at Art Nouveau styling. The design is similar to a tiger’s head brooch that was made by Alling & Co., and probably was made by one of Alling’s Newark competitors. The c-clasp is an old replacement. Edwardian 14K gold crescent moon pendant necklace set with round sapphires and pearls. The sapphires have a lovely medium blue color with just a hint of violet. This is a wonderful Alice Caviness pin / brooch. It is made of gold wash over sterling (vermeil) and enamel. The filigree shell has greenish-blue accents. The shell continues outward with orange enamel. The eyes are red (dark orange). It measures 1 1/2" x 1" 1/2". The underside of the turtle is marked ALICE CAVINESS STERLING GERMANY.

This fine pin measures 2” long. It displays 3 prong-set, scarab gems, budding from a leaf and stems. It is gold filled and marked BURT 1/20 12KT CASSELL. It is in excellent condition. Burt Cassell, a designer based in Rhode Island and New York City, made high quality jewelry during the 1950s through the mid 1960s. A beautiful Art Deco 18K white gold three-stone ring set with peridots. The setting is finely worked in an Art Deco interpretation of a classic acanthus leaf design. The workmanship is ornate enough that the setting appears to be a filigree mounting upon initial inspection. The peridots have fine coloring, clarity and brilliance. The center stone is 1.58 carats and is flanked on either side by a 1.10 carat stone. The shank is stamped “18K.”

A very pretty 14K gold and pink sapphire solitaire ring. The oval brilliant-cut sapphire has a nice raspberry pink color that shows well in the high cathedral-style setting. The sapphire has very good clarity and does not show indications of any heat or other treatment. The shank is enhanced with white gold floral elements on either side of the sapphire. The interior of the shank is marked “14K”. The ring would be perfect as a colored stone engagement ring.
