The SPRATLING DE MEXICO hallmarks suggest that Spratling designed this intricately constructed silver & chrysocolla mosaic brooch in 1949-50. This was shortly after his Alaskan design period. In beautiful condition, the pin measures 4 1/3" long & weighs 38 grams. The pin back & safety are tight & secure. Being offered is an exceedingly rare circa 1935 sterling silver arm bracelet by Fred Davis of Taxco, Mexico. A very early piece by one of the pioneers of the premiere Taxco Silver ateliers. Handwrought panels that wrap from the wrist to the arm using a 7 clasps mechanism. Dimensions: bracelet starts at 6 1/4 inches and goes up the arm to 8 1/4 inches. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition. Excellent weight. Truly an amazing bracelet!

This Los Castillo early hallmarked necklace was designed by Margot Van Voorhies when wed to Antonio Castillo. Together they started the shop Los Castillo. This is one of the most stunning designs in the Mexican Silver Renaissance. The length is 18 inches long and a fraction over 1.75 inches tall. The weight is 239 grams being hand made balls in the centers and hand chased swirls to the tops. The end piece of the swirl is repousse giving it a unique depth to the design...

Circa 1943-1948, the "Armadillo" design was originally created by Valentin Vidaurreta. It's a very striking and unique piece which immediately commands attention. This bracelet has two opposing silver discs set in the center of a black strap with a silver buckle closure. The strap is very fine leather, with suede on the outside and smooth leather on the inside. Measures 7 5/8" end to end. Closed, wearable length is 7 1/4"...

Very similar to one of Antonio Pineda's designs, this modernist sterling silver and amethyst bracelet is signed by a listed yet still unidentified early Taxco maestro. Formed by a series of truncated pyramidal links this is a substantial piece that holds its shape almost like a hinged bangle rather than a loosely articulated bracelet. The design's austere geometry is mediated by the rich color and soft curves of the amethyst cabs set in generously wide, raised bezels...

Featured on page 28 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by penny Morrill, this is the Hector Aguilar Fertility Bracelet with Dimpled Dots. It is in 940 silver and c.1940. One of his most well known designs, this bracelet measures 7 1/2" end to end, is 1" wide and weighs 102 grams. It has a pin closure. One of the dots in one of the domes is punched out. It is visible in the photo. I believe this is original to the making of the bracelet.Signed for Hector Aguilar as shown. A classic HA bracelet.

A rare heavy sterling silver brooch by William Spratling, Taxco. Measures 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Marked with the WS in a circle incised mark, Silver Mexico and 925. Has a slight dent to the center and is missing the rollover part of the clasp. A rare find for the collector.

This ring made by Miguel Martinez is such a striking creative piece of seeing a stone an letting the rock speak. The band flows from underneath to the front to hold in the stone. The dimensions are 12.4 grams heavy and a size 8.5 which can be sized. The face is 1.25in. long and .75in. wide. This is an early piece of Miguels work and he became the principle designer of Rancho Allegre. Properly hallmarked as show. Fabulous and daring piece.
