Adorable and sweet silver pin in the form of a turtle with beautifully variegated turquoise stones on its back, and red cabochon stones as eyes. Classic Arts & Crafts materials and form, circa 1900 or earlier. The pin back is gold, and may have been added or replaced more recently. A very charming little piece.

Very lovely art deco sterling and marcasites necklace with molded blue glass stones, c.1920's. There are three bright blue floral design stones set in sterling with alternating sterling and marcasite links. The 16" necklace has marcasite links all around, but is not sterling. One of my favorite “less celebrated” early Mexican maestros, AEM (or AE Heart as he is also referred to because of the way he signs his work) had his workshop in Mexico City and he created some really nice pieces. A fabulous modernist bracelet in sterling silver by Kultateollisuus, Ky of Turku Finland. Designed by Jorma Laine. Looks like rows of little people standing in windows.
Measures 7 1/2" long and 1" across.
Has an intricate very mid century design. Has a slide in pin clasp with a safety catch. Very well made.
Marked with the flying hammer for the maker, Crown for Finland, 830H for the silver standard, Finland, and the marks for Turku and 1970.

Maestro Velazquez is one of my favorite early Mexican silversmiths. Based on the hallmarks on his work, he was most probably based in Mexico City and his creations are almost always in the so-called Mexico City style of repousse. Very well made and carefully finished, this figural fish brooch is also characterized by a fun, cartoon-ish air that will put a smile on your face every day of the year...
A vintage brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a sterling silver overlay on a shell background. There are two small round inlays of copper.
Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked on the back with a partial Ledesma, Taxco, 925, and an Eagle mark. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.
Fine condition with some tarnish. The shell is a deep brown with lots of swirls.

Made in one of the countries of mainland South-east Asia which were, at the time, under French colonial control, this silver repousse brooch bespeaks the level of craftsmanship local silversmiths had attained and their attention to composition and design execution. Hand-crafted during the first decades of the 20th c., I believe, the brooch is characteristic of the style and techniques that flourished in that area of the world...
Being offered is an exceedingly rare circa 1943 sterling silver and cabachon amethyst bracelet by Fred Davis of Taxco, Mexico. Early piece by one of the pioneers of the premiere Taxco Silver ateliers. Handwrought panels with bezel set amethyst cabochons. Tongue & box clasp. Dimensions: 7 1/2” long, links are 1 1/8" wide. a vintage 1930s sterling silver hand engraved heart photo locket on chain c1930s. This 1-1/4 x 1-1/8" locket has fine hand engraving on the front (the back is undecorated), and it has two retaining bezels with celluloid windows. The 19-1/2" link chain has a hook and eye clasp, each piece is stamped STERLING, and this necklace weighs 14.6 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
