A nice 18K gold Sputnik ring by H Stern. The dome is bezel-set with nineteen round citrines, amethysts, pink and green tourmalines, peridots, aquamarines and garnets. The design was created in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern's Brazilian mines. It later came to be called "Sputnik" for its resemblance to the spike Soviet satellite launched in 1957. Each piece has a unique appearance depending on the specific colors of the stones and their arrangement...

A dramatic, wide cuff set with oval pieces of turquoise-colored glass cabochons in beaded bezel mounts. The cabochons alternate with pairs of stud-like protrusions that contrast with the Victorian-like settings. The cuff is unmarked, but looks to be a white base metal on the inside with a good bit of surface wear and bubbling; the outer portion is silverplated and shows tarnish. One of the cabochons exhibits chips at the edge of the mount, but is stable (see Photos 1 and 3)...

This is a beautiful brooch. It has several pink flowers, each with a central rhinestone. The flowers are all enamelled metal. The leaves are green enamel on a goldtone branch. The brooch measures 3" x 2" x 3/4". It's in excellent condition, circa 1950's. FREE US STANDARD S/H

Picture in the book Silver Seductions is a version of this fantastic Antonio Pineda Silver and Amethyst Bracelet. It features heavy open work links inset with marquise cut stones. It measures 7" long by 1" wide and weighs 86.5 grams. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, 970, Sterling Mexico and the eagle stamp 17. With a box clasp and attached safety chain, it is in good condition with only age related wear and tarnish. The amethyst stones have the typical inclusions...

A classic pair of vintage gold tone rope-shaped ball barbell cufflinks, c.1950, unmarked. The balls measure 1/4" in diameter. Condition is very good.

These Antonio Pineda earrings have a silver wave design with emerald cut amethysts. Bearing the "Silver by Tono" hallmark which was used 1948-1953, this deco design is rarely seen. Two Mexican sterling silver color change Alexandrite synthetic or lab created stone rings to view and select. An early design by Margot van Voorhies Carr, this necklace features a design of hammered niello hearts framed with thick raised silver edges. The centerpiece measures 3" wide and 2 1/2" on the diagonal. The side hearts alternate with silver beads, and each side finishes with rectangular silver tubes. This mid-century Salvador Teran modernist pendant doubles as a pin. The three stones are pink quartz, chrysocolla, and jasper. It's a spectacular design, nice and large at 2 5/8" x 1 7/8". Circa mid-century, these are fabulous earrings from Margot de Taxco.

These koi fish with teardrop amethyst dangles measure 1 3/4" tall, and they are stunning. The detailing is amazing. Amethysts match perfectly in color, and screw backs work perfectly.

Signed and hallmarked "Margot de Taxco 5207" on one, "Sterling Made in Mexico" on the other. No eagle assay.

Weight is 10 grams.
