A very rare pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces designed as fearsome lion-like gargoyles. Each snarling mouth grasps an old mine cut diamond, and the eyes are set with small emerald cabochons. The fur is pierced and detailed in a way that suggests the stone fretwork of Gothic cathedrals. This is a fine pair of Victorian button shaped 10K gold collar buttons with a small piece of natural coral centered on each. One coral is a deeper shade than the other. The nicely crafted face is divided into quadrants, each with a Chinese repousse cloud design, no marks but the face tests 10K, the back is brass; Circa 1880's.. Measurements: 5/8 in. diameter. Condition is very good with the face and sides near perfect, minor ding to brass back.

A lovely Victorian 10K yellow gold locket, the front cover decorated with an embossed lion’s head. The lions mouth grasps an old mine cut diamond and the eyes are set with bright demantoid garnets. The small diamond is nice quality with bright color and good clarity. Demantoids were only discovered in Russian in 1868, so it was still a fairly novel gemstone when this locket was created.
