A nice vintage tie bar in a bamboo pattern by Tiffany & Co. The bar is worked in 14K yellow gold, and each end features a blue sapphire cabochon collet set in platinum. The small amount of platinum contrasts nicely with the deep blue of the sapphires. A thoughtful design with a sense of movement distinguishes this sterling ring, set with what is likely a tourmaline cabochon. The band is composed of two strands of hammered silver that gracefully curl around the finger. The strands also curl around the bezel mounting, which holds the untreated sugarloaf-shape stone. It is marked sterling. The stone and mounting rise to just under 1/4 inch; the ring is sized at a 6 scant.
