Here is a pair of late 19th-century two-sided cuff links, by a preeminent American maker, decorated with scrolling and undecorated reserves on the oval buttons. All links and connectors are secure; the bridge bars are marked sterling and bear the mark of Larter and Sons, Newark, NJ. The oblong sides measure ¾ inch long and the oval sides measure ½ inch long by 3/8 inch wide. Weight: 5.2 grams total.

This pair of early 20th-century cuff links exhibits a nice arts and crafts look, with sharp, detailed molding of a Greek key pattern around the edges. Patina is warm and the surface shows hardly any signs of wear. The back bridge bars are very secure and marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark, but they are probably American. Each oval measures roughly ¾ inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 6.6 grams

Elegant and classic two-sided design of sterling silver round buttons with black enamel that appears hardly worn. They are from the 1920s, probably American-made, and marked sterling on the back. The bridge links are securely attached with no signs of stress. Each button measures ½ inch in diameter.

Each longitudinal button is embossed with a Nordic sailing scene; there is engine-turned engraving lengthwise on the smaller buttons. The hinged bridge bars indicate the maker as Elvik & Co., of Oslo, and silver content of 830; the cuff links date c. 1960. The larger buttons measure just over 1 inch long by just under ½ inch wide. These cuff links exhibit both a sturdy look and construction. They were probably produced for the tourist trade by different silversmiths in the same workshop, as each is slightly different from the other, mostly in the fins. The backs of one linked pair indicates the maker M. Velazquez; all are marked Sterling/Made in Mexico in the pre-1950s style. The back rings connect to short bridge chains; one rings is slightly bent but there is no damage or metal stress...

Formed as a dollar sign, this money clip is of a high quality in terms of thickness and workmanship. It bears the mark of R. Blackinton & Co., of North Attleboro, MA. This particular mark was reportedly used 1900-1967, so the piece is dated conservatively. There is also a number, 2555 H, on the back. The clip has a warm patina, indicating some age, but very few signs of wear. There is a tiny imperfection at the bottom of the dollar sign, from either an impact of some kind or a manufacturing flaw...

Decorated with three curved inset areas of abalone, surrounding an impressed and oxidized pre-Columbian motif. The clip is secure and retains its flexibility; it appears to have been hardly used. The back bears a Mexican circular mark indicating sterling and the maker’s initials of GAV. The clip measures 1 ¾ inches wide by 2 1/8 inches long. Gross weight: 16.8 grams

These 1920s cuff links are beautifully enameled in dark blue on a white ground; elaborate carved designs show through the enamel. Each button is edged with embossed sterling silver scrolls. Embedded vertical silver lines run down the center of the white ground and frame the blue diamond-shaped reserves. The bridge bars are secure and show no signs of metal stress; they each bear the maker’s mark C.Q.&R. for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington (1899-1930s), of Attleboro, MA ...

Rectangular, with one side decorated with elaborate raised flower and scrolled leaves. The anchor button shows lengthwise ridges. The marks look to be European, but are as yet unidentified. The cuff links look hardly worn, with secure bridge bars and connecting rings. The larger buttons measure ¾ inch by ½ inch. Weight: 11.2 grams total

An attractive pair of gilt 800 silver double-faced cufflinks. The round faces are simply decorated with concentric rings bordering central gilt reserves. The faces are joined with the hinge bridge connectors more often seen in Scandinavian designs. The connectors are marked “800” and have an unidentified maker’s mark “EP” in a diamond-shaped punch.

Origin: Germany, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, original gilding intact. Size: 9/16” diameter. Weight: 8.7 gr.

Decorated with circular engraved centers and white enamel Greek key borders. The bridge bars and connecting rings are in excellent condition. There are tiny spots of tarnish, especially around the embedded enamel. Marked sterling on the reverse; each button measures about ½ inch across. Weight: 5.9 grams total

Mounted in a round, beaded silver gilt setting, the amber cabochons in these cuff links exhibit with a vivid honey color and some cloudiness. The cuff links bear the Soviet marks for .875 silver, as well as the town mark for Riga and an unidentified maker’s mark accompanied by the mark for 1957. They are securely hinged at one end of the bridge bar. The button portions measure 5/8 inch in diameter.

These oval undecorated sterling cuff links feature undecorated convex centers and recessed edges. They bear the mark of Link & Angell, a premier cuff link maker in Newark, NJ; they date c. 1910. The cuff links are of a good quality with securely soldered bridge links. Each button measures ¾ inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 6.7grams total

Hand made modernist ebony and sterling cufflinks and tie tac set, c.1950's. Wonderful asymmetric design gives these pieces motion. The set is wrapped in silver and the links are signed "STERLING". Excellent condition except for a tiny wood chip on the back of one cufflink, which cannot be seen from the front(see picture #4). The links measures 1 1/4" long by 3/4" wide. Nice vintage sterling silver cufflinks, the faces decorated with an appliqued anchor and chain. The toggle backs are hinged so that the faces lie flat against the cuff. The toggles are marked "Sterling" and also have a patent number for the toggle mechanism.

A wonderful pair of Modernist sterling silver cufflinks from Taxco, the center of Mexican silver jewelry production in the 20th century. The design is strongly geometric, but has an organic quality as well--almost like a leaf shape. The interiors are nicely oxidized to contrast with the appliqued silver spheres. The backs are hallmarked with the "3M" mark attributed to Miguel Melendez' output from the late 1950s and early 1960s...

An attractive pair of Scandinavian .835 silver cufflinks, the oval faces set with amber cabochons with silver ropework borders. The amber is a light orangey-honey color with excellent clarity. The solid connectors are marked only “835” for the silver content and “3” for a pattern number.
