This Yao necklace and matching pair of earrings have added beads and long silk tassels. Both are light weight and easy to wear. The earrings are hollow with the same repeated design pattern on the backside. The wire loop may be a bit thick as they were made to accommodate the large ear holes which are traditional for the Chinese minority groups. These loops could easily be changed out for posts or a thinner wire hoop.

This traditional Miao Chinese Minority hair pin would have been worn by young woman for festival. The butterfly motif is in reference to the Miao creation myth. The hair pin is 5 inches long.

A hand made low grade silver "flower" pendant with 15 faceted natural antique-cut rubies, a single faceted natural emerald, three oval turquoise stones and opaline glass. Vintage Black Enamel SB Silver Earrings stamped: Sterling Amita Japan. Super glossy black enamel lacquer niello finish with chased engraved leaves and scrolls as if the "sgraffito" or "scraffito" method was used to create the designs. 1 1/4" X just under 1". Slight less shiny areas...

The clasp is marked K24 for the highly decorative 24K gold metalwork of multi figural butterfly, bird, moon, boat, flower, etc in gold silver inlay motifs. Acquired from an Amita jewelry collector. This is so well executed that it is very likely an unsigned Amita necklace.

This beautiful green turquoise nuggets and shell heishi necklace from the American Southwest is 29" long. The larger nuggets are 1" long and the smallest is 5/8" long. The nuggets are in excellent condition and have aged beautifully.The Heishi beads between the nuggets are characteristically from the Southwest. They might even be olive shell.
