Very old and unusual carved bangle from India. The subject of jungle animals is in high relief and deep undercut. Originally wire stapled to connect each panel. Low grade silver connector caps. Simple turquoise birds are strung on red coral tube beads by Zuni Indian artist Dinah Gasper, circa 1970s. Dinah is the daughter of Edna Leki, grand-daughter of Teddy Weahkee.

Three strands are graduated to lay gracefully so all the fetish carvings can be seen. Total length is 24", plus the chain extender.

Forty-five dainty birds are carved of sky blue turquoise.

Two strand os coral heishe show off the multi-colored animal carvings of Master Zuni Indian artist Edna Leki, daughter of Teddy Weahkee, mother of Lena Boone and Dinah Gasper.

Twenty-four carvings include bears, wolves, mountain lion and a turtle. Shell, abalone, jet, pipe stone and serpentine are supplemented with tiny turquoise nuggets.

Total length is 29" with the silver cones and hook and eye.

Five strands of carved birds on light green serpentine by Zuni Indian artist Sam Delena, circa 1970. His style of carving is apparent with the square breasts and pointed beaks.

Eighty birds are carved from shell, abalone, serpentine and turquoise, each one inch in length.

The five strands are finished with silver cones and hook and eye closure for a total length of 26".
