This bar pin is an original period piece from the 1920’s. The top is made of 14Kt white gold and the bottom is yellow gold. The open filigree work is typical of the above mentioned period. The center of the design is enhanced by an approximately 0.08Ct full cut diamond. The length of the pin is 2 3/8” and the width is ¼”. The clasp is clearly marked 14Kt incorporated into the maker’s mark.

A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry.
