This very attractive pair of earrings combines hammered and fluted designs. The pear shaped tops have posts and push backs, and the bottom pendulum part moves freely. Despite the size of the earrings, 2” high and ½” wide, they are relatively light weight and are very comfortable to wear.

A 10K golden sapphire ring from the 1940s 1950 period. This size 4-1/2 or 4.5 yellow gold ring features a tested golden rectangle cut cut sapphire stone of approximately 3.75 carats (estimated from gauge measurement). The gem color is a golden orange or gold orange colour. It weighs 2.7 grams, and it is stamped 10K with slightly obscured maker's marks and the Canadian manufacture mark. A hand engraved Georgian 9k yellow gold and RGP engraved watch key. This 1-7/8 x 3/4" winding key features a rolled gold plate rotating swivel loop and a rotating knob on the RGP winding shaft. Both have underlying metal for rigidity and resistance to wear (gold is very soft), but the body of the key tests as 9 carat gold (the key is unmarked). It weighs 9.0 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Quite an unusual statement ring is this 14Kt yellow gold enamel and ruby snake ring centered by a 5 millimeter faceted natural ruby. The approximate weight of the ruby is 0.50 Ct. The ring is a size 4 and it can easily be sized.

 

A fascinating Victorian brooch set in 14K yellow gold. The octagonal plaque with canted corners appears to be made of opaque black glass and is inset with an ornate glass design worked in the pietra dura method. The translucent design is backed with gold foil to create a subtle glittery effect. The setting is very simple and does not detract from the more important enamel work. Vintage 18K yellow gold dangle earrings with cabochon teardrop shaped emeralds. Emeralds are set in 18K yellow gold. 14K pierced French back closure (hallmarked 14K, see photo). Emeralds are 13mm (5/8 inch) long, just over 9 mm wide, 5mm deep. Total length of earrings including wire is 1 3/8 inch. Total weight is 3.4 grams. Emeralds can also be removed from the wire back and attached to earring posts as earring jackets (see photo). Excellent color.

A beautiful and unusual Art Deco ring, marked 18K gold. The central section has a stylized floral motif, with the leaves, petals, and central section with diamonds. This section is against a background of blue enamel over a guilloche substrate, enabling a wonderful depth and scintillating appearance. Surrounding the central section is a border of diamonds.

A nice pair of Victorian 18K yellow gold earrings, open circles enclosing ball drops star-set with emerald-cut tourmalines. The circles are finished with a pierced and beaded border along the inside edges and a delicate ropetwist motif along the outside. One tourmaline is pale green and the other is bi-colored—mostly green but with some pinkish-red areas. The earrings have a lot of movement when being worn. Tested and guaranteed 18K.

An unusual combination of classic Victorian insect jewelry and the patriotic color combination popular around the time of the Centennial celebrations of 1876. The insect’s folded wings are set with pairs of rubies,sapphires and diamonds. The thorax is represented with a single bezel-set diamond and the eyes are small rubies.
