A fascinating Victorian brooch set in 14K yellow gold. The octagonal plaque with canted corners appears to be made of opaque black glass and is inset with an ornate glass design worked in the pietra dura method. The translucent design is backed with gold foil to create a subtle glittery effect. The setting is very simple and does not detract from the more important enamel work. This beautiful piece is a brooch as well as a pendant, c. 1960. It is by Finn Jensen. A beautiful and rare Retro 14K yellow and white gold floral brooch featuring carved jadeite leaves and a carved rock crystal blossom. The rock crystal has an opalescent quality that appears much like moonstone. Both the front and back surfaces are finely engraved to suggest floral textures. This sleek deco style pendant is from the 1960's and made of 14Kt yellow gold. It is centered by a bezel set 10 X 12 millimeter caboshon oval lapis.
