This impressive Mexican silver link bracelet, probably made for the tourist trade, has a distinctive and quite unusual design. I love these William Spratling all silver tulip earrings. They are 1in. x .75in. in size and they are 3/8th's thick in the centers. The depth is outstanding as well as they are the perfect companion with the tulip necklace just listed. Excellent condition and properly hallmarked as shown.

This interesting pin is constructed of four flat, interlocking rings and has a nice heft to it. The rollover clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The back bears the maker's mark of a conjoined HT, an unidentified silversmith who also worked with Estela Popowski, as well as independently. There are four other marks on the back: an eagle 20, a Hecho en Mexico mark and two sterling marks. The pin measures 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 14.9 grams

Large vintage circa 1930's sterling silver belt buckle designed by William Spratling, executed and signed by Artemio Navarrete. Navarrete was Spratling's first master silversmith and trained other silver artisans in Spratling's early Taxco, Mexico work shop. This is a signed JVC for Emma 3 piece PARURE with eagle. This bracelet is published in the book Mexican Silver by Morril and Berk. The silver base of the design is a whopping 3mm thick. These oval cuff links display a well known Mexican relic character (see pictures). They are very well crafted with a copper eye and azurmalachite on obsidian. They measure 1" x 5/8" x 1/8". They are in fine condition. The toggles are marked ALPACA (but the faces are silver).

This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. This graceful sterling silver ring is formed as a stylized snake with an impressed band starting at the head and tapering to the tail. The impressed area is nicely oxidized and decorated with contrasting circular elements, one of which serves as the snake's eye. The patina is soft and is nicely enhanced by the oxidation. A forged wire pendant composed of drops of various lengths is attached to a chain of shorter, peaked forged bars linked by securely soldered rings. The necklace has a nice heft, but it quite comfortable. The back bears the circular impressed Mexican silver mark with central maker’s initials of possibly OBC, and the eagle 1 mark. The necklace measures 19 inches long unclasped; the pendant drops 4 ¼ inches. Weight: 56.1 grams

Shaped as stylized heads, they are hollow cast and pierced for stringing. Faces show on both sides of the beads. One bead has a casting imperfection on one side (see Photo #1); the other side is intact. There are a total of 19 beads; strung together they measure 9 inches long. They are possibly Mexican. A hinged bangle of irregular, wavy design, solidly cast, by prominent Taxco designer Erika Hult de Corral. The spring mechanism is in good working order, keeping the bracelet securely in place. Early Mexico City open backed repousse cuff looks so fabulous without being embossed around the background of the roses because it makes the repousse really pop. This is a 1 10/16th in. wide and the diameter is 2.5in. There are no repairs, no dents and no light holes that come from poorly pressed silver. The roses are brisk and superbly dimensional. It was designed circa 1945-50 by Valentin Vidaurreta and made by master silversmith Manuel Altamirano who worked for Valentin and also for Hector Aguilar.
