This elegant silver box was handcrafted in Mexico City during the 1940's. It measures 8"L X 3 1/2W " X 1" high & weighs 1 lb. 5 Oz. The subtle scallop design is worked into thick silver on all sides. The wood lined interior creates 3 compartments. Both wood and silver are in beautiful condition. Hallmarked for SANBORNS on the underside. This 1930's vintage Mexican Silver Cuff Bracelet by the early Mexican department store Sanborn's features a hand chased and silver repousse floral design. It measures 5 1/4" long with an opening of 1 1/4" by 1 1/3" wide and weighs 33.1 grams. Hallmarked with the Owl figure, Sanborns, Mexico Sterling - the Owl mark was used starting in 1931. The bracelet is in good condition with only light age related wear and tarnish. A lovely bracelet with great style.

This amazing bracelet by Hector Aguilar is quite unique in that is made in Sterling Silver Vermeil. Known as the "Linked Circles Bracelet" and featured in the book Silver Masters of Mexico on page 63.It measures 7 1/2" long by 1" wide and weighs 77.9 grams. Hallmarked "Sterling Silver, HA, Made in Mexico". It has a secure box clasp and is in good condition with only light signs of wear. A very beautiful bracelet and a rare find for the collector.

A vintage sterling silver and enamel brooch by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr). Blue confetti enamel in her classic swirl design #5384.

The brooch measures 1 1/2" high and almost 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Made in Mexico Sterling, Margot de Taxco and 5384. Also marked with Eagle #16.

The clasp holds securely. In very fine condition with only minor tarnish. The enameling is vibrant.

A vintage sterling silver Palm Tree brooch by Frederick Davis. This early version has an unusual 'C' clasp with a locking hinge to hold the pin in place.

Signed with the impressed conjoined FD. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 1 3/4" across and 2 1/8" high. Weighs 24 gr. The brooch has a warm patina with a little tarnish. The tip of the pin is slightly curved to prevent you from sticking yourself.

Pictured in the book "Mexican Silver Masters" by Penny Morrill on page 40, plate I-55 is this lovely and unique bracelet by Hector Aguilar. Circa 1945-1950 it features a deep purple oval Amethyst cabochon stone on the clasp with fancy and ornate silver wire links. It measures 7 1/2" long by 3/4" at the widest and weighs 42.3 grams. The hallmark is blurred but the HA mono is clear, a partial mark reads "Ster" and the rest appears to be "Hecho en Mexico"...

It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here...
