A sterling silver bracelet from Taxco with a modernist, geometric design. Made up of six hinged slightly curved links with a somewhat hidden clasp. Nice contrast between the raised polished sterling and the oxidized background.

Marked STA for the artisan, Taxco, Mexico and 925 for sterling. No eagle mark so probably before 1949.

Measures 7 1/2" around and 7/8" wide...

A vintage modernist sterling silver pair of earrings by studio jeweler, Fridl Blumenthal. Signed with her Tulip mark, Sterling, style number 115 and FRIDL on each earring. The findings on the earrings are also marked sterling.

Opposites so frame the face when worn. Thick sterling silver with sterling overlay on niello. Earrings measure 7/8" long and 1/2" across. Screw backs work fine.

Fine condition with some tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Her pieces are hard to find...

Impressive in size this vintage Janna Thomas Mexican silver pendant is an example of the "pluma Azteca" technique which incorporates vividly colored bird feathers in sterling jewelry. Very reminiscent of plique-a-jour work, "pluma Azteca" was introduced by the Los Castillo workshop and it is a demanding, difficult process so it was emulated by just a handful of other Taxco maestros. Thomas excelled in it, however, and her pieces are sought after by knowledgeable collectors...

Originally from 1780 but were created unto the early 20th c. This pendant has tribal silver bail for a good-sized silver chain the bottom has cast silver bells most match. Weight 40G coin and lower bail is 2.25" overall l 3"

Measures 7" long and 1 3/8" wide. Fold over clasp holds securely.

Has the 3V maker's mark, introduced in 1970, also known as the flower mark on the back.

A striking sterling silver buckle with an overlay depicting a Pre Columbian creature by the noted Peruvian silversmith, Graziella Laffi.

Signed G. Laffi Peru and 925. Has two layers of sterling.

Measures 2 1/2" long in total and 1 1/8" high. Can accommodate a belt 1" wide. Has a swivel with teeth to hold the belt in place.

Very nice condition, some very minor tarnish and surface scratches. There is a small crimp to one corner.

Well made and unique...

A three dimensional 916 silver brooch in an Arts and Crafts design by Holger Lindstrom, (1937-1968), Helsinki Finland. Has a concave oxidized center and four pointed onyx bezel set cabochons. There are textured recessed areas around each stone for an interesting contrast.

This hand crafted brooch measures 1 5/8" in diameter and about 3/8" high.

Marked with HGL for the maker, 916H for the silver content, boat for Helsinki and L7 for 1964...

A Mid Century Modern pendant in sterling silver by Kultaseppa Salovaara, Ky of Turku Finland with eight light blue faceted bezel set stones. The pendant has a curved bale which is part of the design for an interesting effect.

The pendant measures 2 1/8" high and 1 1/2" wide at the center. Currently suspended from a 17" sterling chain that has a secure spring clasp.

The pendant is marked with the polar bear mark for the maker and 925H...

A sterling silver artist signed hinged bracelet in a modernist design with a second layer of abstract shapes. Marked P L Garré, for Phyllis L. Garré (1920-2018), a self taught artisan who started her third career of jewelry making in Washington state. Also marked Hand Wrought Sterling and 181 which may be a style number.

Measures approximately 7" around and 1 1/4" at the widest. Weighs 52 gr. Has a secure slide in tongue closure and a safety chain...

This late 19th-century English sterling brooch features a circular design enhanced with twisted silver wires and silver beads, surrounding a globular center. The surface has a beautiful, warm patina and is in lovely condition. It has a secure C-clasp and hinge; the hinge shows a bit of metal stress, but is in good working order...

An amazing piece of mid century modernist hand wrought jewelry.

This bronze or patinated brass pendant measures 3 1/2" long and 2" across. Has thick sterling wire around the edge and a curved design on each end. Interesting hammered texture.

There is some tarnish and a little wear to the bronze patina. Has a large bale so will also accommodate a thick chain or neck ring.

Fine contrasting of textures, interesting design.

A great pair of screw back sterling silver Mask earrings by listed artist and sculptor, Charles Val Clear. Signed Charles Val and Sterling. Screw backs are also marked sterling. Measure 1 1/2" long and 1/2" across. Have a nice contrasting patina for a cool effect. Screw backs hold tightly. Very Mid Century.

A modernist sterling silver pendant with a bezel set tan tumbled agate by Jens Peter Clausen Gudjonsson of Iceland. Signed JENS and 925S.

Pendant measures about 2" long and 1 1/4" across at the widest.

Currently strung on a black cord but would also work on a neck ring or thick chain. Interesting contrast of smooth and textured surfaces.

An early Coro Art Deco era sterling silver marcasites drop design necklace from the 1920s 1930. This angular Industrial Art Deco beauty is 17-3/4" long in the lavaliere type with a main center drop. It has a spring-ring clasp, the central drop is 1" deep and it is stamped STERLING CORO. The bright flower in the centre of the beautiful if severe lines is a nice romantic touch. An early and fine signed Coro Art Deco sterling silver necklace with marquisites c1920-30. This stylish 17-3/4" necklace has a springring catch and a 1-1/8 x 5/8" center drop with a large marcasite stone; it is signed STERLING CORO on the drop and STERLING on the loop. A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant by the Danish silversmith Johannes Larsen, (Skaelskor active 1977-1984).

Has four dangles suspended from a geometric central pendant. The pendant is marked Sterling and J.La. It measures 2 1/2" across and 1 1/4" high. Chain measures 24" long and has a secure spring clasp. The clasp is marked Sterling with some other hallmarks that are too tiny to read. Has minor surface scratches.

Sleek modernist design.

A vintage, modernist sterling silver ring designed by Pentti Sarpaneva for Turun Hopea Oy of Finland. Design measures 1 3/8" long and 1" across. Ring measures about a 4.5 now. Marked with the intertwined TH for Turun Hopea, Crown mark for Finland, 830H for silver standard, Town Mark for Turku and date code which looks like L7 for 1964. Nice weight and condition. Great design.

A modernist lightly hammered sterling silver double wire neck collar by Ed Levin.

Measures 12" around with an opening of 2". Flexible so can be opened wider to put on. Sits just above the collar bone.
