This spectacular sterling silver and shell cuff was designed circa 1950's by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. The cuff measures 1 1/2" at the widest point in the center front. It has a 1 3/8" gap opening and a wearable length of up to a 6 3/4" wrist. The deep brown and pale golden shell inlay is held in place by silver rivets. Exquisite condition with no cracks or chips. Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill.

Extremely rare and large sterling figural pin by Abraham Paz, Mexico c.1930. He designed for Fred Davis, so it is clear that this famous design was created by Paz. Here, we see a variation on a theme, with a man wearing a serape and holding a rope. The signature is RARE showing the Paz mark, which this antique dealer has never seen before. It is signed "CAP(stylized) HECHO EN MEXICO D.E. A.PAZ 0.925" and is in excellent condition. Of very good size, it measures 2 3/4" high by 1 5/8" wide...

Hand made sterling modernist sterling, amethyst, copper pin by Sam kramer, NYC, c.1950's. Hand hammered, this large round pin measures 2" in diameter and the pinwheel center design measures 1" in diameter. Pinwheel is raised above the round part(see photo #2) by an applied round silver piece. This is a very desirable Kramer technique. Amethyst has a copper bezel on the pinwheel. Signed "STERLING mushroom mark(for Kramer)" and is in excellent condition...

Luminous Obsidian stones are at the center of this large and lovely Antonio Pineda Bracelet in a design known as the Swans. Measuring 1 1/4" wide by 7 1/3" long it is a bracelet with a bold modernist style. Very heavy at 108 grams. Secure clasp and attached safety chain. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco crown, 970, Hecho en Mexico, Silver and the eagle 17. The Swan design in the form of a Necklace is featured in the book Silver Seductions. This is a gorgeous bracelet with an impressive style.

I love to find these rare pieces made by unknown makers. This one is exceptional. The size of the center link is 2.5 inches. There is a wearable length of 19 inches. All other links and earrings are 1.5 inches long. No chips or cracks to the stones and no dents to the silver. The lock is hidden under a link showing a well thought out design. All the repousse is thick with a total weight of 127.5 grams. Hallmarked MADE IN MEXICO STERLING. Extremely well cared for, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This modernist design by William Spratling dates to the 1950's. Weighing 90 grams the necklace is 20 inches long. The opposing "tongues" measure 2 1/2" across X 2". Screw back earrings 1 1/8" x 1".
