This 1950s necklace has a very clean and classic design, and is well constructed with secure, rope-like chain. The central part of the necklace evolves into a thicker but elegantly entwined chain and tapers off toward the ends. It has the original spring-ring clasp. Formed as an arch with a central drop set with what could be polished obsidian. The stone has embedded diagonal bands of light brown, with an iridescent surface. There is a tiny chip to one edge; it is hardly noticeable and doesn’t affect the stability of the stone, which is quite secure. This is a very unusual ring. It is a size 6. It consists of "striated" sterling silver with lovely loops topped by genuine pearls. It has 4 hallmarks on the band that I cannot decipher. It is in excellent condition.
