Rare modernist earrings by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee, a husband and wife team who created unique jewelry in their studio from the late 1940s until the 1970s. The minimalist aesthetic sterling silver earrings are circa 1950s, and feature discs each decorated by a single silver sphere. The earrings are screw-backs, and the tops measure .75" in diameter. A fine Art Deco sterling silver pendant necklace by famed illustrator and jewelry designer McClelland Barclay. The square pendant shows a water lily and lily pad along with several buds in a stylized form. The pendant is suspended from its original silver chain. The reverse is marked "Sterling Silver" and is signed "McClelland Barclay".

Barclay was a noted illustrator, famous for his pin-up style advertisements for General Motors and for Hollywood movies...

This pre-1960 Matl Matilde Poulat necklace is absolutely magnificent. Collector quality, with beautiful birds, a large turquoise egg, branch coral, and turquoise and coral cabochons, this piece has a huge presence. Measures a closed, wearable length of just over 20". Weight is 80 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Matl Patente 10963 Mexico 925", with the eagle assay 129. In excellent vintage condition with a rich patina.

A sterling silver modernist link bracelet consisting of five rectangular links, each with a distinct geometric overlay. Has oxidized areas for an interesting effect.

Well executed design.

Composed of curved openwork panels formed as highly stylized bird heads, possibly eagles, with a pre-Columbian influence. The tongue-and-groove clasp is original and very secure for this substantial bracelet. It is bears the circular mark for Pedro Castillo, who worked for Spratling and Aguilar in the 1930s and started his own taller in the 1940s (per Bille Hougart’s ‘Little Book’ of Mexican silver marks, p. 41)...

Los Ballesteros beads are not often seen and these are exceptional. The half inch wide beads are quite heavy at 50 grams and 8in. long. The fit is more like a 7 inch bracelet. Each bead is 1 in. long. Properly hallmarked as shown and with eagle. If you collect beads, you will love these.

The design is made of concave twisted bows of oxydized silver surrounded by a border of shiny silver. The NECKLACE measures 17" around(closed) and each of the 9 links measures 1 3/4" by 1/2" wide. Circa mid-century, this parure is an extremely rare design from Margot van Voorhies Carr / Margot de Taxco.
