A fine wreath-style pin and matching earrings in sterling silver with cultured pearls 1950. This set consists of the 1-5/8" pin and the 7/8" screwback earrings. The pearls average 4.5 mm. in size, and the pieces are marked SK SILVER; they are probably Japanese. This set is in very good original condition with no cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of one outer leaf on the pin and on one earring...

Composed of a curving piece of forged wire, these earrings evoke a feeling of graceful movement. Each wire design is attached to a constrasting static teardrop-shaped top. An unusual link bracelet composed of delicate openwork panels. The box clasp is secure and is engraved with script initials of FW. The back of one panel shows the Swedish silver mark, an unidentified maker’s or town mark and the mark for .835 silver. The clasp is secure and comes with an attached safety chain. This silver pin evokes the late Arts and Crafts era with its hammered-look surface and serpentine vines, though it is definitely later. The applied coral-colored glass bead centers offer a nice splash of color. The hooded clasp completes the artisan look. The piece was probably made during the late 1950s-1960s to imitate the popular Scandinavian aesthetic of the time. A colorful studio piece molded as an abstract, modified circle and enameled in browns and blues. The back bears a secure rollover clasp on one side and a pendant bale on the other. The piece works best, however, as a pin. There are some illegible marks on the back; although the pin does not indicate silver, it does test definitively as silver, but not sterling. Modernist enamel fish by Madeline Turner, c.1940's, who studied enameling with Karl Drerup. She also designed for Tiffany and Georg Jensen,USA. This great domed sail fish measures 3 1/16" by 1 1/8" and is in perfect condition. The rich colors are various shades of blue, yellow, green and white. This ring is a great example of modernist jewelry circa 1950's. It is a size 7 and has the wonderful modernist, biomorphic, brutalist design. It is adorned with a carnelian bead. The band is marked STERLING. This piece has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This studio piece is composed of curling wire links with roughly finished ends. It is reminiscent of mid-century modern designs, but is a bit later, probably the 1970s. A highly decorative piece in gilded sterling silver designed with a graceful movement, this starfish pin has a rich, textured look. It features yellow-green guilloche enamel with raised graduated disks running down each arm enameled in white. The entire piece is jag edged, and has a convex shape. It dates from the 1960s and bears the maker’s mark of Ivar T. Holth of Oslo. Please note that the first two images show the truest color. The pin measures 1 ¾ inches wide. Weight: 8.3 grams

A thoughtful design with a sense of movement distinguishes this sterling ring, set with what is likely a tourmaline cabochon. The band is composed of two strands of hammered silver that gracefully curl around the finger. The strands also curl around the bezel mounting, which holds the untreated sugarloaf-shape stone. It is marked sterling. The stone and mounting rise to just under 1/4 inch; the ring is sized at a 6 scant.

The rectangular panel of this silver pin has interesting, different textures on back and front. The panel is curved and scalloped along the top and bottom edges with tiny beads and blocks in the mold, creating a quite complex design. The cabochon chrysoprase is prong set above a circular opening, bisected with a flattened silver rod. The rollover clasp is secure; the back of the pin indicates .835 silver. The pin measures 1 ¾ inches long (including the rod) and 1 1/8 inches wide.
