The epitome of minimalism - there is nowhere further in subtraction to go from here - this modernist sterling silver collar necklace bears the signature of the Los Ballesteros workshop and was made in Taxco, Mexico in the 1960s-70s. An Aesthetic sterling & 2 colour gold photo locket dated 1884. This beautiful vintage Victorian 1-3/16 x 15/16" photo locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1884. This locket has deep hand egraving and tooling on the front, with rose gold bars and a flower and a green gold leaf. The back has a repeat of the fancy border and the hallmarks, with an H&B maker's mark...

Very rare brass and enamel pin signed "MACCHIARINI", c.1940's. Peter Macchiarini(deceased) was a very famous San Francisco modernist jewelry designer and his works are extremely desirable. The provenance of this piece has been identified by his son, Dan Macchiarini. He states that it was a private commission by someone wanting a clown face. This turned out to be a joint venture between Peter and his then student, Virginia De Haas, whom he later married...

This colorful, enamel and sterling silver charm / pendant has a diameter of 7/8" and is 1" high. It is a beautiful depiction of a wreath with its green enamel holly leaves topped by a red enamel bow and white enamel accents. In the center, the jingle bell is three-dimensional, moves and rings hallmarked STG JMF. It has a red glass clapper. The back is of this charm is marked STG JMF, as well, for The J.M. Fisher Company. This piece is circa 1950. It is in excellent condition...

This mid-century necklace from Los Castillo is a heavy and very substantial seldom seen design.

Thirty-eight modernist twisted panels drape perfectly upon the neck, conforming perfectly with a fluidity which compliments the wearer. The wide J-hook closure forms an almost seamless appearance.

This mid-century ring is a very rare and possibly one of a kind piece from Antonio Pineda. It is absolutely stunning with a large presence, and it's collector quality. The face of the ring features nine dense green stones topped with four pearls. The face measures 1 1/16" x 7/8", and has a height of 7/16". The ring size is 7 1/4. Weight is 15.5 grams. Signed and hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco crown, 970 Hecho en Mexico, and the eagle assay 17. In excellent vintage condition.

Hand made sterling with natural pearls and stones clip earrings by James Fenton, c.1930's. Pearls are natural but not sure if stones are real or synthetic. It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here...

Picture in the book Silver Seductions is a version of this fantastic Antonio Pineda Silver and Amethyst Bracelet. It features heavy open work links inset with marquise cut stones.
