These beautiful, sterling silver earrings have a classic Mexican, 1940's design. They are screwbacks, and measure 1" x 1" x 1". The central stones are bezel-set: green chalcedony / jade. Each earring's back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. 925, with a maker's mark of JP inside a rectangle. The D.F. stands for Distrito Federal: made in Mexico City.

This Miguel Melendez hinged bangle is patterned with irregular shaped 1 mm thick silver tiles or pavers, fitted into one another kind of scaling or print. The channels or recessed portions are highly oxidized and the brighter polished areas provides a great play on light-to-darkness.

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill.

Taxco 980 signed pieces are always quality. This link is 118 grams heavy and is the closest thing to the Coco design of the Spratling original necklace which is so very, very rare. The Taxco 980 necklace is 20in. long and has a depth of 7/16th's giving it even more dimension. No dents or damage and kept lovingly through time. One of my favorite things, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Measure 1 1/4" across. Marked on the back of each screw back with the conjoined WS and Spratling Made in Mexico.

Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, dings and minor scratches.

When I first saw these very old Margarita signed Vintage Mexican Silver Earrings I thought they were incredible and very special.
