Beautiful repousee sterling necklace(matching bracelet is also being offered), by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. Made of very heavy gauge silver, it weighs 3 1/2 troy oz(105 gms). Made of 20 links, each measuring 1" long by 3/4" wide, the total length is 15". There is an overlapping of links. The flowers appear to be floating in air on your wrist. The leaves balance the underside. All of this is orchestrated by a simple twisted wire frame. There is great depth with the construction of each flower. The beauty of this cuff is displayed in 2 inches of height and 7inches wearable length including the gap of just under one inch. You can see from the back that the flowers are open backed repousse made with thick silver. No chips or dents...

These beautiful, sterling silver earrings have a classic Mexican, 1940's design. They are screwbacks, and measure 1" x 1" x 1". The central stones are bezel-set: green chalcedony / jade. Each earring's back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. 925, with a maker's mark of JP inside a rectangle. The D.F. stands for Distrito Federal: made in Mexico City.

Matching the brooch of the same design that it also available here (you can see the two pieces together in one of the photos here) this Los Castillo Mexican silver and copper ring is a rather rare find and I am happy to have come upon it. Weaving together the two metals in a chevron / arrow pattern, it is additionally embellished with tiny little sterling beads and has a visually interesting shank as well...

This Miguel Melendez hinged bangle is patterned with irregular shaped 1 mm thick silver tiles or pavers, fitted into one another kind of scaling or print. The channels or recessed portions are highly oxidized and the brighter polished areas provides a great play on light-to-darkness.

It is hallmarked with two (2) separate circular marks and an assay stamping. One mark is the the lower case "m" surrounded with a large "C" followed by Taxco...

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill.

"Prize winning piece which is made of four different metals and two stones" describes this Los Castillo pin in MEXICAN JEWELRY by Davis & Pack, p.188. It also appears on p.187 in WILLIAM SPRATLING and the MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE as "Los Castillo, prize-winning cubist parrot broach". This famous pin was made in Mexico, c.1947. The metals are sterling, brass, copper, and, perhaps pewter. The stones used are black onyx and malachite in matrix...

This rare Hector Aguilar Mexican Silver Bracelet is featured in many books on Mexican Jewelry including "Silver Masters of Mexico" by Penny Morrill on page 136. He called this the Pillow Bracelet and it has a bold modernist design. Measures 7" long by1" wide and weighs 57.6 grams of silver. Signed with the HA mono, Sterling Made in Mexico" and dates to the early 1940's. In good condition with no damage noted, a nice patina, and a secure button topped box clasp...

Taxco 980 signed pieces are always quality. This link is 118 grams heavy and is the closest thing to the Coco design of the Spratling original necklace which is so very, very rare. The Taxco 980 necklace is 20in. long and has a depth of 7/16th's giving it even more dimension. No dents or damage and kept lovingly through time. One of my favorite things, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A pair of Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with Bronze central domes by William Spratling. These earrings were in the 1945 catalog.

Measure 1 1/4" across. Marked on the back of each screw back with the conjoined WS and Spratling Made in Mexico.

Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, dings and minor scratches.

We are offering a signed M. Altamirano large Cuff studded with onyx stones and finished on the ends with a big swirl. The height is 2.5in. tall and it currently has a gap of 1 inch.
