Made in the 1960s, this vintage Mexican sterling silver bracelet consists of figural disks developing in a row defined by lengths of double-woven, thick chain. I have seen this combination featuring three different kinds of disk designs. While here we have depictions of the country's history as well as symbols of its old religion (a jaguar warrior portrait, Quetzalcoatl, Mexico's state Eagle) the specific bracelet design can be found with Mexican coins or representations of the zodiac cycle...
This is "The Armadillo" cuff. (The necklace is no longer available). It is 1 5/8" wide in the front and in fine all original condition with no damage or repairs...
A fine, hand hammered modernist sterling silver collar necklace and hook bracelet by the California studio jeweler, Gerald Stinn, (1937-2019). Thick hammered sterling wires gently curved and flattened.
The necklace measures about 12" around with an opening of about 2". Measures 1/4" at the widest. Probably better for a slender neck although can be adjusted somewhat.
The bracelet measures about 7 1/4" around the inside, hard to get an exact measurement due to the curves...
A rare hand wrought bracelet by Madeline Turner, a New York City Jeweler who worked from the 1930's to the 1950's. She designed jewelry for Georg Jensen USA. In sterling silver with periwinkle blue art glass cabochons. Marked with her conjoined M Turner hallmark. Measures about 6 1/4" around and about 1" wide. Clasp snaps closed tightly. Large modernist silver pin, probably 1970s, with large faceted round cut dark raspberry shade amethyst (diameter approximately 12 mm) surrounded by lighter natural cabochon amethysts and set with 4 large freshwater pearls. Approximately 2 inch square, a real statement piece!
These mid-century earrings are composed of rectangular and concave gilded sterling silver plaques enameled in a deep blue with a linear design under the glaze. The blue shows much brighter than in the images and more of a contrast with the two raised ridges of gilded sterling that decorate the center. They are secured by screw backs in good working order, and are signed Balle 925 for Øystein Balle of Norway. They measure 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 10.1 grams
A vintage sterling silver hand wrought necklace and matching bracelet with light hammering and angled and curved links. Has connector links made from curved silver with orbs at the ends as seen on pieces by Jack Boyd.
Necklace measures at least 18" long but hard to measure exactly due to the curvature of the links. Signed Sterling. Has a spring closure marked sterling that holds securely.
The matching bracelet measures 7 1/2" long and has a secure spring clasp...

Richly colored azur-malachite stone is paired with warmly glowing sterling in this chunky modernist Mexican silver bracelet signed by none other than the maestro of Piedra y Plata, Felipe Martinez. Martinez is one of my absolute favorite Taxco silversmith and a superb lapidary as well. He has an uncanny ability to pair silver with stone that works every single time, as if the two materials were just made to be together...

A brutalist, modernist sterling silver pendant by the Swedish jeweler, Isaac Cohen. Marked on the bale with ICO for the maker, another mark that is hard to read, and V9 for 1971. Measures about 2 1/2" long including the bale and 1 1/4" wide. Large bale so will accommodate a thick chain or neck ring. Fine condition, quality piece.
