Formed as a stylized starburst of forged wire with a central sterling silver bead, this pin is based on the Joseph Skinger design, but made and signed by Martin Lasak. The pin has a delicate look but is sturdily made. The back sports a secure rollover clasp, as well as a sterling mark. Mounted with an oval banded carnelian cabochon, the pin is marked 800 to indicate silver content. It could be European, but has Asian elements to it as well. The rollover clasp is an older style but very secure, with a sturdy pin stem. The design features applied wirework and beading, and rough, scalloped edges trimmed in twisted wire. There are two larger silver half-beads, one at each side; one exhibits a small dent, as shown in Photo 5. The pin measures 1 5/8 inches across.

A modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet with a sterling wire overlay. Marked Sterling and 'the silversmith', which has been associated with mid century jeweler Ella Cone, who had The Silversmiths' shop in Boston. Measures approximately 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures about 1 7/8" at the widest. Has some tarnish and surface scratches. Nice contrast between the oxidized and polished silver. Fine example of Mid Century Modernist studio jewelry. Looks great on!

Composed of adjoined silver circles with overlaid oval textured panels, this bracelet embodies all the elements of superb Italian design. Long sterling necklace, c.1960's. Consisting of three vertical parts with a 24" link chain that has 3 hand made sections. Each framed section measures 2 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" high. This sterling silver pendant has an arts and crafts feel. It features a central polished turquoise marbled with matrix that appears to be quite stable. It has an angular starburst design with a wide bail that bears a 925 mark as well as Hebrew markings. The .835 silver chain is not original to the piece, but is of the period. It is probably Austrian or Polish and measures 18 inches long unclasped. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Gross weight of pendant: 7.1 grams

This sterling silver bracelet is made of solid hand-worked, twisted circular links that fit nicely together. The secure clasp consists of a hinged figure-eight that snaps over a bead. The link with the clasp has a dividing bar probably for ease of closure. There is a partial sterling mark and what looks like a numeral or maker’s mark on the inside of one link.
