The workmanship is simply outstanding, with every tiny detail of the dog’s fur, wrinkles, etc. fully worked in this deeply three-dimensional brooch. The back is hallmarked “Ballou Sterling”. B. A. Ballou was founded in Providence, RI in the 1870s.

Rare modernist earrings by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee, a husband and wife team who created unique jewelry in their studio from the late 1940s until the 1970s. The minimalist aesthetic sterling silver earrings are circa 1950s, and feature discs each decorated by a single silver sphere. The earrings are screw-backs, and the tops measure .75" in diameter. Signed "Sterling, Burkee." Excellent vintage condition.

This handmade clip exhibits a strong arts and crafts influence with a nod toward modernism. It features a hand-wrought leaf with incised veins and circular tool marks around the edges. A band of silver is applied at the top in a rough pinwheel design. A clip mechanism is attached to the back; it shows a patent number that dates to 1932. Also on the back is the impressed name of Margaret Moore, as well as the sterling mark. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide...

This highly decorated bracelet features a strong repoussée design of flowers and scrolls, on backgrounds of white and black enamel. Inside is the mark for Norway silver, and the maker’s mark of Andresen & Scheinpflug of Oslo. The bracelet is secured by a rod that slides into a cylinder, attached to a chain. This simple handmade sterling silver pin features a golf club applied to a rectangular panel; a 1941 penny is set from the back within a horseshoe-shaped frame. Two beads at the ends of the setting prevent the penny from falling out. The back bears the sterling mark and the unidentified maker’s initials of KLE. It measures 1 5/8 inches long by 1 inch wide.

A 19thC Scottish banded onyx sterling silver pin brooch 1850-80. This 2-7/8 x 7/8" lozenge-shaped pin has the original c-clasp; the silver border is unmarked but tests as silver (the pin itself is silver plated). This sterling silver tie bar features a finely cast Viking ship, a signature Georg Jensen motif. It appears hardly used, and the Jensen marks are well struck, including the post-1945 maker's mark as well as marks for sterling, Denmark, and the design number of 50.
