Composed of two rectangular layers of sterling silver, top one curved and with a cutout comma-shaped design exposing a highly oxidized interior. The ring is marked sterling and has Joseph Skinger’s script signature mark. Skinger was a Vermont studio metalsmith who was most productive during the 1950s and 1960s; he died in 1967. This mid-century chili pepper bracelet is the work of Salvador Teran. Teran worked with William Spratling at Taller de Las Delicias before leaving with his cousins, the Castillo brothers, in 1939 to work with them at their new taller, "Los Castillo." Considered by many to be a genius at designing, Salvador worked at Los Castillo for many years before establishing his own taller "La India Bonita" in 1952...

This more-than-unique pendant is quite a piece of art. With a textured surface on both sides, it is a wonderfully abstract grid of connected, irregular squares/rectangles layered at various heights. Adding to its unusual beauty are the 3 amethyst cabochons, bezel set in protruding cylinders. The attractive patina is another plus. The pendant is made of 835 silver (stamped in 2 places). I am unable to find any other discernible marks...

Circa mid-century, this Antonio Pineda bracelet features ten oval moonstone cabochons nestled between ten curved silver panels.

This is a chunky modernist piece executed in almost pure 97% silver. The moonstones are magnificent, exhibiting a beautiful blue adularescence when the light hits it. It has a seamless appearance when closed, as the push button for the clasp is topped with a moonstone.

Stunning statement size vintage pendant necklace and matching clip earrings. Necklace and earrings are marked STERLING and signed with initials JB. The stone is probably an amethyst but I have not had it verified by a gemologist. 1960s, from a Pittsburgh estate. Heavy and substantial at 106 grams for all pieces together. The necklace links are dimensional and sculpted. The necklace has a wearable length of 30 inches but can be clasped at many points along the chain...

Fabulous, large, hand made Picasso-esque double profile face ring by Joseph Gourdji, NYC, c.1970's. Made of heavy gauge silver, the design shows two faces in profile. Quite large, it measures 1 1/8" tall. It is made so that the design faces out, so that it is size 9 1/4 at the top of the faces and size 8 3/4 at the bottom of the faces. However, if you want to wear it so that it faces towards the wearer, it is size 8 3/4-9. In excellent condition and is signed "GOURDJI STERLING". Wonderful!......

Circa mid-century, this Antonio Pineda cuff is a book-piece design shown in "Silver Seduction: The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda". Pure eye candy, this concave cuff features nine conical amethysts which appear to be floating on a center pivoting arm. The amethysts are wonderful old Mexican stones with natural inclusions and quartz marbling. This will fit a smaller wrist. Mine is 6" and it fits me comfortably with room to spare. Circa mid-century, this hinged bracelet was produced by Erika Hult de Corral and has her unmistakeable style. Rare to see one of her pieces executed in 980 silver as this one is. Hult worked with both Sigi Pineda and Enrique Ledesma before opening her own shop, and the influence of Sigi Pineda can certainly be seen in this bracelet.
