A Birks sterling marcasites brooch and earrings set from around 1930. This fine, vintage set was sold by Birks, Canada's leading retailer of fine goods. The brooch measures 2-3/8" x 1-5/8", it is laden with glinting graduated marcasites (or marquisites ), it has a safety catch, and it has a superb curled design with great appeal. Abstract sterling silver ring by Danish designer Jacob Hull for B&D, circa 1970s. The top of the ring measures 1 1/8" x 7/8". Marked "Denmark, Sterling, Jacob Hull, B&D," and with a hallmark. Adjustable, currently size 6.5. Weighs 14 grams.

Circa 1950's, this belt buckle is was produced by Antonio Pineda. I have never seen this one before, and it's quite similar to one which William Spratling designed. Antonio Pineda began his career working for William Spratling. It's hand-wrought with criss-crossing lines which are deeply carved with oxidized recesses.

Detailed and deeply hand carved in heavy 980 silver this early brooch designed by Spratling features the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl of pre- Columbian myth. In beautiful condition & weighing 53 grams the pin measures 2 1/4" across. Pictured on spratlingsilver.com where author Phyllis Goddard explains that this pin design was included in a 1937 Brooklyn Museum of Art exhibit of Spratling's work. Spratling designs are included in the permanent collections of LACMA and MFA Boston.

These handmade, two-sided cufflinks each feature a square piece with an incised geometrical design connected by a figure-8 to a dome-shaped piece. The links are very securely soldered to each side; there is a tiny ‘ding’ to one dome. The squares measure about 5/8 inch and are marked Sterling and Taxco. Weight: 8.1 grams total

A rare example of Jose Luis Flores's work to come upon, this distinctly modernist necklace made my day when I discovered it. I have in the past sold the matching bracelet to it but this specific form eluded me for the longest of times and I am thrilled to be offering it here. Made up of links constructed using overlay, hand-cutting and chasing as well as oxidation, it brings to mind Teran's biomorphism and the design's execution is flawless...

This handsome cross pin (that also has a bail to double as a pendant) is by circa 1970. It has a geometric design of copper and onyx inlaid with sterling silver and turquoise. It has 3 layers: the top is the copper, that is skillfully cut for the inlay; the next layer is the onyx and the bottom is sterling...

This sterling enameled orchid brooch / pin has a vermeil finish with clear crystals and amethyst baguette stamens. It is hallmarked CoroCraft sterling. This orchid pin was designed by Adolph Katz in 1944. It is great vintage condition-virtually pristine and definitely spectacular. It measures 2 1/2" square.

This Sterling vermeil with large amethyst colored stone + 5 colored rhinestone stamens is 2 1/2" square. It is in excellent condition.

A modernist brooch by noted mid century silversmith, Frances Holmes Boothby in Sterling Silver and Ebony. This large marlin measures 3 3/4" long and 1 1/2" tall. Lightly hammered. Marked fhb, Sterling on the back. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds tightly. Nice condition, just a few minor scratches and a little tarnish. A wonderful example of Mid Century Modern jewelry.

A classic Deco set, circa 1925, with 17 brilliant clear spheres of undrilled genuine rock crystal wrapped in thin silver wires, with tiny silver disks on either side of each sphere, connecting to jump rings. The carved crystal stones are each 13 millimeters in diameter. The screwback earrings have prong set faceted rock crystal stones at the top posts. The metal is not marked but tests positive for at least 800 silver...

Being offered is a rare circa 1955 sterling silver and obsidian stone bracelet by Alfredo Villasana of Taxco, Mexico. The handcrafted thick gauge silver cuff set with a large round obsidian stone secured by four spiral prong settings, secured with box clasp. Villasana worked for William Spratlng and Hector Aguilar before opening his own shop in Taxco. Dimensions: Size 8”; stone is 1 3/4" by 2 1/4"; band is 3/4" wide. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

Engraved case with village scene, made for the export market, pin set; cylinder escarpment. White enamel dial with black markings and fancy gold hands, approximately 15 jewels. Marked F. Spectacular vintage sterling and 5 stone turquoise cuff bracelet by Hopi Ralph Tawangyaouma (1880-1973). Possibly Lone Mountain, the stones are beautiful and free of chips or cracks. Measuring 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/8" opening, it is 1 1/8" wide. Weighing 95 grams, it is hallmarked as shown. A gorgeous bracelet from this noted Hopi silversmith.
