Today we have a vintage Mexican silver parure made by Maestro Sigi Pineda. Sigi has had a long career in handmade jewelry within the Spratling era. His work is heavy, made with excellent stones as this parure also has. The obsidian is extreme sheen on the necklace and you may see silver dots that sparkle on the other pictures which is the camera reacting to the sheen in less light. Very large and heavy gauge 950 silver with brass accents buckle, probably from Japan, c.1970's. It is signed "T 950" and measures 2 3/4" by 2 3/4" by 1/8" thick. Extremely heavy, it weighs 120 grams or 4 troy oz. Probably Japanese because the 950 silver content is used there. Hand hammered with brass applied corners, it really makes a major statement. A modernist sterling silver ring by Oscar Aaroe, (1905-1996), a jeweler and silversmith born in Denmark who apprenticed with Georg Jensen and had his store on Palm Springs, California. This ring feels Southwestern in design and was probably influenced by the Native American silversmiths in the area.

Has a bezel set dark green - almost black smooth stone. Measures size 9.

An Art Deco sterling huge twin glass pearls ring with man made sapphires circa 1920s. This size 5-1/2 ring has huge creamy yellow 12 mm. glass pearls flanked with baguette cut man made or synthetic sapphires in a tooled sterling silver setting; it weighs 9.7 grams and the ring is offset at the shank so the pearls sit at an angle on the finger...

These handmade, two-sided cufflinks each feature a square piece with an incised geometrical design connected by a figure-8 to a dome-shaped piece. The links are very securely soldered to each side; there is a tiny ‘ding’ to one dome. The squares measure about 5/8 inch and are marked Sterling and Taxco. Weight: 8.1 grams total

It's a spectacular necklace with seven large repoussé floral pendants at front and center. 6mm and 4mm silver beads alternate throughout the necklace.

This sterling silver pin is formed as a Mexican peasant lugging a large basket of fruit on his back. It is deeply molded and enhanced with oxidation and of hollow construction. The sturdy clasp features a machine-age look, and the pin stem has a lever that causes it to spring open when released. The pin dates from 1950 through the 1930s and is marked Silver/Mexico on the reverse. It measures 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at its widest part. Weight: 12.6 grams

This colorful ring is a size 7.5. It has a nice design with a large, central, faux fire opal cab (glass). It is clearly marked with the Eagle Assay mark, #3. It is also marked MEXICO middle and is also marked MEXICO 925 and other marks (unable to decipher) in a circle with what looks like JCM in the middle. This ring is truly gorgeous with all its colors and is in excellent condition. I have taken pictures with flash and without.

A modernist brooch by noted mid century silversmith, Frances Holmes Boothby in Sterling Silver and Ebony. This large marlin measures 3 3/4" long and 1 1/2" tall. Lightly hammered. Marked fhb, Sterling on the back. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds tightly. Nice condition, just a few minor scratches and a little tarnish. A wonderful example of Mid Century Modern jewelry.

Sometimes referred to as the 'The Rainbow Necklace' this iconic design by a renowned Danish artisan is a superb example of Scandinavian Mid-Century design.

Condition - Excellent

This impressive cuff bracelet has a Mexican feel, but is marked only for silver content and the mark includes “Silver,” which could indicate an Asian origin. The design features a recessed and oxidized linear motif with raised dots, and sits comfortably on a wrist measuring 6 ½ inches around the wristbone. The bracelet measures 1 3/8 in. wide, with a 7 ½-inch internal circumference, and a 1-inch separation at the terminals. Weight: 11 grams

Some might say this Margot de Taxco pectoral is her defining work since leaving Los Castillo. The length is approximately 17in. Weight is 96 grams of masterful repousse technique. It spans 3.25in. across on the drop and 2.5in. at the widest point for the height. Design #5184 is seldom seen now and this one has a warm natural patina. No damage or repairs, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
