Striking, hand made, and large sterling MAYAN face BOLO made by MIGUEL and sold at RANCHO ALLEGRE, the largest silver shop in Taxco, during the 1960's-70's. The design shows a darkened silver background which highlights the shiny silver face, decorative element, and edge. The bolo measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" long and the decorative silver ends measure 1 1/4" long. We are offering an Antonio Pineda bracelet with pearl and amethyst set inside the tulip shaped links. The amethyst used are a very translucent, fine quality cabachon and what you see inside the stone is being picked up around it in reflection. The length is 7in. wearable and it is one inch tall. Properly hallmarked as shown with a weight of 102 grams heavy. This is such a beautiful piece and one that is seldom seen. No damage of any kind.

These rocking horse earrings have to be Los Castillo's most endearing design and it is also rare. The weight is 14 grams of repousse. I took a side shot so you could see the depth and dimension these beauties have. They are 1in. tall and 1 1/8th of an inch wide. A fantastic set for a collectors jewel box.

Impressive in size this vintage Janna Thomas Mexican silver pendant is an example of the "pluma Azteca" technique which incorporates vividly colored bird feathers in sterling jewelry. Very reminiscent of plique-a-jour work, "pluma Azteca" was introduced by the Los Castillo workshop and it is a demanding, difficult process so it was emulated by just a handful of other Taxco maestros. This vintage set is made of 950 silver. The brooch measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". It has a nice, engraved scene (as do the earrings). The brooch has a trombone closure and is marked SILVER 950. This is a Rafael Dominguez turquoise bracelet made before 1948 and properly hallmarked as shown. The weight is 58 grams heavy and is 1.25in. wide. It is 7in. long. The silver is thick and Dominguez is know for his high quality workmanship. Dominguez is a noted maestro in Penny Morril's books. When you own a Dominguez piece you know you bought the best! The stones are beautiful and have no chips or cracks. The piece looks fantastic with the turquoise drippy necklace also listed on my site.
