Lovely silver and copper pin by Enrique Ledesma, Mexico, c.1947. Unusual design with hand stamped hearts and butterflies with copper overlay. Made of heavy gauge silver, it measures 2 3/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. Signed "925 LEDESMA PLATERIA CORTES HECHO EN MEXICO bellmark 3" and is in excellent condition. Modernist enamel fish by Madeline Turner, c.1940's, who studied enameling with Karl Drerup. She also designed for Tiffany and Georg Jensen,USA. This great domed sail fish measures 3 1/16" by 1 1/8" and is in perfect condition. The rich colors are various shades of blue, yellow, green and white. A pair of Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with Bronze central domes by William Spratling. These earrings were in the 1945 catalog.

Measure 1 1/4" across. Marked on the back of each screw back with the conjoined WS and Spratling Made in Mexico.

Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, dings and minor scratches.

Large handmade modernist sterling and rose quartz pin by Sam Kramer, the famous NYC silversmith, c.1948. As usual, one can turn the pin in several directions trying to find the "correct" position - is it a fish wriggling through the water, or a profile with a pony tail, or should we not ask these questions? This large and dimensional piece, measures 3" long by 2 1/4" wide. It curves up and down and has a center oval rose quartz bezel set stone...

Taxco 980 signed pieces are always quality. This link is 118 grams heavy and is the closest thing to the Coco design of the Spratling original necklace which is so very, very rare. The Taxco 980 necklace is 20in. long and has a depth of 7/16th's giving it even more dimension. No dents or damage and kept lovingly through time. One of my favorite things, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This is a pre-1948 Rafael Melendez bracelet that is so deeply chased and designed so beautifully. It is 1 inch wide and can fit a large range of sizes. The weight is 43 grams of thick silver. It has a turquoise stone that is gorgeous and has changed into over time a warmer tone of blue green. This piece is collector quality and a real treasure.

Vintage Mexican Silver has always been impressive when hallmarked with DORIS SILVER. This floral design has heft at 80 grams and a wearable length of 17 inches. There is a stunning presence with a drop of 1.5in. tall and 4 inches across. Completely handmade, this sterling silver pin is formed similar to a stylized sprig of lily-of-the-valley. It also bears an engraved inscription on the back that reads: “Anna F. Davies/The College Settlement of Philadelphia/1898-1941.” Davies was a founder of the settlement movement, and ran this settlement house during those years. The pin is also marked sterling and has a secure safety catch. It measures 3 1/8 inches long by about 1 inch wide. Weight: 19.5 grams

This rare Hector Aguilar Mexican Silver Bracelet is featured in many books on Mexican Jewelry including "Silver Masters of Mexico" by Penny Morrill on page 136. He called this the Pillow Bracelet and it has a bold modernist design. Measures 7" long by1" wide and weighs 57.6 grams of silver. A beautifully executed pin that features a bezel-mounted oval dyed green chalcedony or chrysoprase, surrounded by a layer of leafy flowers and berries. This layer is composed of cast pieces individually applied to a serpentine wirework frame reminiscent of late arts and crafts design; dating would be 1930s or 1940s. Constructed of a single strand of solid, chromium-plated white metal, this bangle bracelet is a marvel of modern design and could date as early as the 1930s.
