This Antonio Pineda bracelet is a rare and stunning piece, with thick curved arcs studded with garnet beads. Absolutely gorgeous, this sleek and modernist design measures a closed, wearable length of 7 1/8", with a width of 7/8". Garnets have vivid hues and the light plays off them beautifully. Spratling was known to have a large collection of Pre-Columbian Mayan & Olmec objects. He designed this necklace using hand wrought sterling silver beads, coral beads & hand carved obsidian Olmec figures most likely acquired from locals in the surrounding areas of Taxco, Mexico. A superb early vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet by the famous Matilde Poulat aka MATL. Features her signature ornate silver work and a lovely combination of Coral and Turquoise cabochon stones. Measures 7" long, 1 1/2" wide and is quite heavy at 79.5 grams. With the early hallmark "Matl, 0.925, Hecho en Mexico, D.F. MATL" which dates the bracelet to the 1934-48 time period. Circa 1949-1953, this bracelet bears the "Jewels by Antonio" hallmark - one which is not often seen. It's an elegant and exquisite bracelet, with eight panels, each with a gorgeous round moonstone. I believe the silver to be a very high purity. I have not seen this exact design before. The push button tongue box clasp is topped with a moonstone, creating a seamless appearance when closed. This is a bracelet which both looks and feels amazing on. It's silky smooth, with a very luxurious feel. ...
