This glorious HANDMADE` piece of art measures 6 1/2" by 2 7/8" and is signed "SPRATLING SILVER(in oval) WS(in circle-around which says) SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO". Usually referred to as irreverent and whimsical Hubert Harmon was a native of Illinois yet studied at the Parson's School of Design in Paris. In the 1940s, he and his wife Louise settled for a few years in Mexico where Hubert opened a workshop in Taxco and created some of the most interesting designs in the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry. A lover of parties, poodles and all creatures winged and mythical, he seems to have found inspiration in the country's folk art as well...

A vintage modernist sterling silver bracelet with overlapping triangles designed by Bent Gabrielsen for Hans Hansen, Denmark.

Measures about 7" long and 1" wide. Has an ingenious clasp with a screw that locks in place, very safe.

Marked with script Hans Hansen, Denmark, and 925S. In fine condition with some surface scratches and a little tarnish.

Sleek and well crafted. Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

Formed as hollow cast discs, embossed and chased with elaborate floral designs, and bezel-set with carnelian beads – one of which shows a partial hole to one side. The earrings are secured with working clip backs; the maker’s impressed mark looks like Zuoco or Zocco. The earrings measure 1 ¼ inches in diameter.
