Early Velazquez repousse bracelet with a center height of 2.5 inches. The carved jade face is without chips or cracks. There is some glare in the pictures. This repousse has great dimension and is 104 grams heavy. With a length of just over 7in. long and a diameter of 2.5in. when closed it will fit most. This is a groovy pair of artist made earrings, circa 1980. The mirror image teardrop shapes on each earring are soldered together on the outside edge, leaving a space in the center that gives them an interesting dimension. The outside edge was then granulated by soldering tiny sterling balls all the way around, and a stack of three balls of varying sizes at the bottom. 22ga sterling wire is wrapped around the top of the earring to form an extra long ear wire for pierced ears...
This is a stunning example of the Art Deco marcasite jewelry that adorned the sophisticated women of the 1920’s. The dark green chrysophrase stones have a beautiful translucent quality that really stands out next to the oxidized sterling silver and dark gray marcasite gemstones. The center stone is cut in a half barrel shape with crescent shapes cut on the sides. In the decorative rectangular setting, there are 4 sparkly marcasite stones surrounding the green stone...

Showy "x"-shaped repousse links make up this early Mexican necklace and they are accented by teardrop and semi-sphere elements. A classic Deco design often referred to as a "fertility knot" the "x"s here are also textured with chasing. The necklace measures just above 17" long (wearable) by 15/16" wide and weighs a good 75.6 grams. It is simply marked "SILVER MEXICO", dates in the 1930s-40s and is in excellent vintage condition.
Early Deco Taxco necklace, this is wrought in fine, 980 silver and its elegant, curved “dog bone” links remind me of similar motifs used by both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar. What attracted me to this piece is its calm, understated beauty – the confident combination of design elements that remain visually powerful yet don’t assault the senses in an overwhelming manner. And there is something to be said about the way fine silver such as used here warmly mellows over time...
