Early, "unsigned" Taxco beauties are one of my passion and I am thrilled to present this stunning necklace here! I could never exaggerate the visual impact this piece has - just look at the wide links, the deep recesses in the repoussage, the accent beading, the perfect oxidation. Worthy of the best of collections, the necklace measures a wearable 15 3/4" long (quite comfortable for most of us; actual length is 16 1/8") and its width is 1 1/4"...

Classic Deco Mexico City work, this bracelet is a stunner and perfect to set the festive mood for the holidays yet not necessarily limited to this part of the year. One of the most visually impressive early pieces of this type (and quite hard to find), its links are big floral wreaths surrounding stylized bows and the bracelet is studded with turquoise cabochons. I haven't touched the patina but you could always give it a buff, if you like. Either way, the compliments will not stop coming...

Generously sized, an early Matilde Poulat brooch featuring two of Matl's classic motifs, her repousse birds perched on the flowers of a stylized potted plant. Adorned with coral and turquoise, the pin can be enjoyed as such or as a pendant with the use of a simple pin-to-pendant converter. Beautifully made, playfully articulated, this is a must-have for the Poulat collector. The brooch measures 2 3/8" tall by just above 2 1/2" wide and weighs 26.7 grams...

This antique 800 silver French long chain was recently purchased in Paris. It has a chic , tailored design with rectangular etched, detailed rectangular plaques separated by equal lengths of chain. The plaques have an "x" design very popular during the early 1900's in French jewelry. I have seen it on lockets, but rarely on a chain.

It is smoothly finished and in excellent condition. It has a lovely, original patina and retains French guarantee stamps on the end ring...

A master lapidary, Enrique Ledesma has a magical way of seamlessly marrying silver and stone and the bracelet presented here is one of his signature designs. I am very partial to azur-malachite and just by looking at the richness of the blues and greens in the stones you can understand why. Measuring 7" long (wearable) the bracelet is 3/4" wide and weighs 35.5 grams. It is signed with Ledesma's name as well as "TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO", "925" and also bears Eagle 3 assay mark and des. no 202...

This outstanding bracelet, by renowned South American jeweler Antonio Belgiorno, is composed of slightly concave disks with delicately textured top surfaces. It has a substantial look and exhibits classic mid-century design. One side of the tongue bears the mark A Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, and an obscured rectangular mark that could indicate Industria Argentina; the other side indicates T27 and 900 for silver content in a diamond reserve. The connecting links are securely soldered, the box clasp ...

A heavy, organic design distinguishes this handmade Mexican ring from its contemporaries. The stone is set within a vine-like mount, and is highly polished, fiery, showing very little wear. The ring band and mount have somewhat of a rough, handcrafted look, and the surface has a robust patina from age. It dates c. 1960, and is partially marked Mexico on the inner band on one side, and 925 with another mark starting with M that could be for Mexico or the maker’s initials. The outer band shows a...

A circular sterling silver pin made of two entwined strands of forged wire, this piece has a nice, sturdy feel and warm patina from age. She was one of the artisans hired by Frederick Lunning to produce for the Georg Jensen USA line and exhibited her work at the Museum of Modern Art in the late 1940s. This cl...

A charming piece composed of a sterling silver fish pendant on its original chain, this necklace exhibits the fine workmanship typical of mid-century Italian jewelry. The fish’s features are enhanced with cobalt and green enamel, and its tail moves on a hinge. All the pieces are riveted together, and the cable chain features flattened, oval links. The pendant and chain bear the Italian mark for sterling, registered Arezzo, dating 1944-1968. The pendant measures 2 inches long (including the bai...
