Vintage Gilded Brass Sash Ornament with small C catch clasp, leaning toward the Art Deco direction, leading one to ponder perhaps this was late in the 'Sash wearing period'. Green Art Glass Cabochon with moonglow button affect swirls is bezel set at 7/8" X 1/2" yet embraced with 2 double claw decorative prongs. Lots of strong design. 3 3/4" X 1 3/4". Very Nice condition. Circa 1890 Art Nouveau, Victorian, "Japanned" Sash Pin Brooch 4 Hand Cut Faceted Blue Glass Bezel Set Stones with "C" Catch. Described Japanned, as there are still signs of having been black at one time, now with most of brass showing after 100 years of use! ANTIQUE CORAL CAMEO PIN TURNING FRAME GOLD PLATE

This is a magnificent pin, with a hand carved pink/white coral cameo set into a heavy gold plated swivel frame. Behind the cameo is a deep set area that probably held a woven hair memento of a loved one, which would then have been covered with glass. The pin could be worn either way, with the cameo or the woven hair ornament to the front. This hair weaving is no longer present, and what remains is the deep recessed area and the swivel with the cameo. The setting measures 2 1/2" tall by 2 3/1... Click for details
