An extremely rare pair of period Art Deco 18K gold cufflinks by Cartier in the "Trinity" pattern. This is the same pattern now more frequently called the "rolling ring". The design is made up of white, yellow and rose gold bands that seem to intertwine. The cufflinks have an invisible hinged closure. A very fine pair of late Art Deco 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the "stirrup" style popularized by Cartier in the late 1940s. as is often the case, each end of the toggle mechanism is capped with cabochon blue sapphires, but this pair is most unusual in that the chain link sides are collet set with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds.
