As always, antique Chinese gaming chips are little works of art from the 1880's. Made from mother-of-pearl, these measure one inch in diameter and have a single flower carved on one side and a double flower carved on the other side. Lots of detail and a border of carved triangular design. This work is all hand carved or etched and you will never see another pair like these. They are a nice size but not too large. They have silver pierced wires but could easily be changed to gold by your jeweler.... Click for details

This unusual and pretty ring is likely from the "Fred Harvey" era of tourist jewelry, when the focus became on resale rather than Native Americans making jewelry for themselves. Copper was cheaper than silver and silversmiths often practiced new designs on copper before making them in silver. An interesting bit of trivia is that the very earliest (S'West) Indian smiths (in the 1800s) worked from scraps cut from surplus copper pots and pans, so copper has a long history in Indian jewelry.
