The United Indian Traders Association was a group of traders founded in 1931, in an attempt to get the imported and fake Indian jewelry off the market when hard times fell after the stock market crash of 1929. They fought to have only genuine Native American Indian arts and crafts sold in the National Parks, for example, and their members agreed to sell only authentic Indian crafts. Here is a set of the most beautiful Navajo made sterling silver dress ornaments. Incredible stamp work, high-grade natural turquoise set into smooth silver bezels, repousse at its best and twisted silver wires on the outside to enhance the design.
Dress ornaments are 2 1/8 inches long and 1 ½ inches wide. Turquoise stones are 3/8 inches by ¼ inches. Each dress ornament has two copper loops on the back.

This incredible Navajo made ingot silver bracelet with beautiful stamp work and 3 high-grade natural Morenci turquoise stones has no hallmark. Likely made in the 30s.
The turquoise stones are set into hand crafted saw tooth bezels.
The Morenci turquoise is very difficult to obtain now because the Mine is depleted. It is a collectible turquoise.

Absolutely gorgeous 1970's vintage necklace -- made in the Santa Domingo Pueblo of beautiful blue turquoise and purple quohog shell (Wampum) for a super color combination -- the drops at the center give the entire piece the look of a giant jacla --- finished in the back with silver findings -- It is about 28 inches long -- the heishi graduate from about 6 to 12 mm -- Great look for the summer (or anytime) - please check the photos and feel free to email questions
