What a dramatic, wonderful choice of colors in the design layout on this unusual Zuni pin. The sharp angles and the flattened bits of wire used to outline the piece are a nice touch, too. Note the sharp inlay cuts at the knee, and the way the black and white inlay is used for the skirt as well as the band of black for a sash. It's a very artistic composition.Made ca. 1950s.

A beautiful example of this important Navajo
silvermith's artistry. Austin Wilson was active from the 30's-50's. High grade spiderweb matrix turquoise framed with twisted wire, in a four split shank ring. Turquoise: 3/4"L x 3/8" at widest; Size 6 1/2; excellent condition. Ca. 1940's/50's.

A beautifully crafted Zuni, channel inlay squash necklace, ca. 1970's, of stylized birds, inlaid with onyx, turquoise and MOP. The center bird measures 2 3/4"L x 2 1/2"W; There are 10 smaller birds measuring 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"; 30" length. Excellent condition.

These intricate stone to stone inlay earrings, which use spiny oyster, turquoise, mother of pearl and jet, required perfectly cut stones to fit against each other within the saw tooth bezels (i.e. no pre-existing metal framework as in so much of the inlay pieces one sees today -- a much easier process). Also, rather than plain "raindrops" these have impressed designs for an additional detail. Overall, very well done.
