The miniature is painted in watercolor and chopped hair on ivory, and is surrounded by a dazzling black-dot paste border. Incredible piece of mid 19th century sentimental hair jewelry, probably intended to commemorate the birth of three children, featuring three enameled lockets on a snake chain, all in 18k gold. The three padlock lockets are engraved front and back and enameled on the front with green leaves; they are suspended from a modified figure eight – the symbol for eternity – which flows into the flexible chain. Outstanding and very rare French 18K gold bracelet comprised of nine coiled snakes, their heads bead-set with old mine cut diamonds. The snakes are separated by collet-set blue sapphire cabochons. Each snake has delicate engraving to highlight the details of the heads. Snakes, symbolizing eternal love, were a popular motif in Victorian jewelry. The diamonds have very nice color and clarity, especially for stones of this period. Likewise, the sapphires have nice saturated color and excellent ... Click for details

Lovely Victorian rose gold ring set with c.2 carat marquise shaped turquoise. Surrounded by an etched and engraved typically Victorian setting, there is a turquoise bead and 2 seed pearls adorning each point of the marquise setting. 12K gold was legalized in 1855 in England, along with 9K and 15K. In excellent condition, there is an engraved monogram inside the shank, H.N., so this was once a gift to someone special. There is also what appears to be a makers mark in a cartouche but I cannot mak... Click for details
