This 15k brooch is English, circa 1850. These brooches are rare to find in silver, and even rarer in gold. It has rock crystals that are foiled to create the colors of amethyst, citrine and garnet. The body is entirely hand made and beautifully detailed. The beetle illuminates as light passes through the crystals and is dramatic when worn on the shoulder or lapel.
