A vintage World War I era 3/4" across nurse's pin in 10k yellow gold. Dated 1915, this pin has SJH engraved on the front. We were told that this nurse worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; it weighs 1.6 grams, it has a safety catch and it has an A.C. monogram on the back. Gorgeous Oaxacan cross and chain. These pieces are probably from the first half of the 10th Century. The gold is 12k. This type of chain is characteristic of southwestern Mexico and Guatemala. Each link is 3D and has four sides. Crosses and chains like these were made for the local women and not as export items.
