Just lovely, and so rare! These earrings, like floral sprays, each contain 9 stones. 14 of the 18 stones have horsetail inclusions, which are diagnostic of demantoids garnets. It is possible that one of the others is a replacement emerald, however it is badly chipped, and all the stones are small enough, and deeply set enough, that it’s impossible to get a refractive index reading on them. This is a fabulous pair of marked and tested 18kt gold earrings from the Victorian era, circa 1880, which have been converted to screw-backs. Measuring from the top of the post to the tip these are 1 5/8 inches in length. The design is a cone with the bottom open and set with a coral bead. The finish is brushed and each is set with one cannetille flower. They are in excellent condition and look beautiful when worn.

This is a neat old carved turquoise scene of a man riding on a donkey over a bridge being followed by another person carrying a bag. I think this is an antique piece that has been made into a pendant more recently. The back in marked "14kt" and "sterling" and "raffi." The rim tested for 14kt gold and the backing is sterling. It measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/8 inches. Great Chinese collectible piece.
