This quietly stunning brooch consists of a peacock feather design featuring 4 dark brown-orange citrines, and highlighted by 5 seed pearls. On the back it is marked “14k” and with the interlocked “U” and “C” for Unger & Christl, who were in business in Newark, NJ from 1906-1909. It measures 1-1/8” x 1-1/8”. The clasp has been replaced, but the hinge looks original. It also looks as though some other alteration has been made to the back, but I can’t tell what. Nonetheless it is in excellent condi... This lovely piece evokes the designs of Archibald Knox, Murrle, Bennett & Co., and their ilk. Measuring 1-3/4” from the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop, and 7/8” wide, it is a noticeable piece. It is centered by a greenish cabochon, and there’s another of a slightly different color in the drop. There is a maker’s mark, but it’s illegible. It comes with an 18-1/2” long 9 karat chain. Sho...
