Pair of Black Onyx and Peridot Hoop Earrings Circa. 1960 American. 9 bezel-set peridots adorn each of the black onyx hoop earrings. The bezels are 14k yellow gold. Gold tested with 14k acid. The hoops measure 1.50 inches in diameter. Total weight of the peridot is approximately 5.0 carats. All peridot tested with refractive index liquid. In pristine original condition. 16.1 gr. 10.3 dwt.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Gold in Quartz Ring

This is one of those Statement Rings. The gorgeous and intriguing quartz-in-gold top measures about 7/8” across, cut as an octagon. It is bezel or collet set, surrounded by a decoration of twisted gold. The setting tests between 14 and 18 karat gold, the shank is a strong 10 karat, and the color of the two golds matches. It is unmarked, and I just don’t know the age. I’m sure it’s not an antique, so I’ll guess at circa 1950s.
