So very beautiful are these pinchbeck and citrine day/night earrings that they look as if they came directly from a romantic costume drama or a fine museum exhibit. The pinchbeck is a bright but soft golden color. The central citrines are the color of honey. The earring tops can be worn as daytime earrings. Beautiful early Battersea enamel earrings, depicting cherubs conducting music with a baton. Each cherub is a little different; they’re in great condition. Probably converted to earrings at one time (there’s solder on the backs); may have originally been buttons. Rope twist border. Measure 1 1/4” from the top of the wire.
