This brooch is circa 1790, and is rare in both beauty and design. It has a top plaque of purple enamel depicting a winged cupid floating in the clouds capturing a wreath of flowers. The entire creation is a flower basket set with a central emerald and surrounded with white sapphires,blue sapphires and rubies.
