This beautiful bird barrette measures 2 1/4" x 3/4" at longest and widest points. It is not flat: slightly convex, measuring about 1/8" heightwise (not including the bar/clasp). I am unsure of the species (perhaps Kingfisher?). The mixture of colors is stunning. The enamel is light and dark blue, purple, red, green, orange, yellow....

These Victorian earrings are Scottish, circa 1880. They are designed with beautiful native Montrose gray agates. The color of the gray is mellow with fine striations distinctively found in Scotland.
