I’ve seen many hammered silver wire rings like this before, but this one is very well made--not bendable, and it is soldered at the back. Reminiscent of pieces by Alexander Calder and Henry Steig, it is another great piece for the man who likes modernist jewelry, or of course for a woman with larger fingers.

Here is a Native American pendant made of sterling silver, genuine coral, turquoise, and a real bear claw. Native American artisans only use claws and other parts of animals that have passed on, and great care is taken to preserve the manitou, or spirit, of the animal. This pendant is Native American made, signed by the artist, a capital I in a circle as shown in the picture. Though these beautiful garnet earrings don’t date to the early 20th century, they are made in the Scandinavian skonvirke style of that era, similar in look to early Georg Jensen jewelry. The garnet cabochon stones glow a deep blood red when held to the light. Garnet is the January Birthstone.
