This gorgeous necklace glimmers like the sun shining through the window in the late afternoon. It is comprised of graduated smooth round Czech glass beads the color of warm sherry topaz and caramel amber alternating with clear Czech glass spacer beads and capped with brass filigree. This romantic portrait in silver, of a wind-swept person in a cloak and hood, is very detailed and just lovely. I tend to think it’s a boy, as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself almost looks more like a cap made from a flower, like those Victorian fairies wore in the paintings in children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP, GERMAN SILVER BACK”. The back is a little bit tarnished, and the German silver has worn off at the botto... Click for details

This radiant brooch is late Georgian or early Victorian and is set with mine-cut and rose-cut diamonds in silver with a gold pin clasp.
