This romantic portrait in silver, of a wind-swept person in a cloak and hood, is very detailed and just lovely. I tend to think it’s a boy, as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself almost looks more like a cap made from a flower, like those Victorian fairies wore in the paintings in children’s books. This is a superb, ornate Art Nouveau bracelet set with sherry topaz Czech glass stones dating from the late part of the 19th century, Ca 1890-1900.
It consists of four large oval open filigree brass links with bunches of daisies and lilies. Each link has a gorgeous, sparkling unusual square cut, bezel set, sherry colored topaz glass "stone". The links are joined by several jump rings and the bracelet joins at the end with a round spring clasp in good working condition.
