This cute little burro measures 2" long x 2 1/4" tall and is from the 1940's. It has engraved details on the front, and the reverse has an old style "C" scroll closure. It is in excellent condition. It has no hallmarks but has been tested and is guaranteed sterling silver.

A wonderful sterling silver and abalone brooch in the shape of a leaf. Circa 1950s. Signed by the maker M S R and marked STERLING, 925, and TAXCO. Hinged straight pin on back with safety clasp. Also stamped with the Eagle 3 mark. The back of the pin is entirely silver and the front, in addition to the abalone shell, has silver veining. This is a lovely silver brooch, probably from Japan, c. 1950. The piece is in the form of two leaves with berries. There are 8 Mikimoto quality cultured pearls, 5.5mm to 6.5mm in diameter. The pearls have excellent luster and nacre and a creamy rose color. The piece is marked silver and measures 1 1/2" by 1".
